Christian Louboutin for movies?

Christian Louboutin is quietly expanding his empire—and he wouldn’t have it any other way. The man who launched a million shoe fetishes thanks to his trademark red soles is currently writing his first script for a European movie that will begin filming in 2008 in the south of France.
Before then, Louboutin will be debuting stand alone boutiques in Las Vegas and Tokyo, a second store in London, and a flagship in Paris, bringing his Paris total to three. He is also in the planning stages for stores in China and will be selling in India through Paris retailer Maria Luisa’s new store that will open in Delhi in July.
Manhattan, however, will have to come first. Louboutin is moving his store, currently at 941 Madison Avenue, up two blocks to 969 Madison Avenue. It will be completely redesigned by 212 Box, who created the Horatio Street boutique in the West Village, to feature his expanding handbag collection. The store is scheduled to open July 1. Louboutin recently tapped Alexis Mourot, European director at Marc Jacobs, to be his chief operating officer.
