Lindsey Lohan New Ungaro Artistic Director

Emanuel Ungaro has appointed two women in key positions today. One, new chief designer Estrella Archs, relatively unknown , and the other, the new artistic adviser, nobody else but Lindsey Lohan!!

"When I'm involved in a project, I give my all to it," Lohan said of the new appointment. "Clothing is something that's so expressive in so many ways. It really interests me. To be in a position where I'm working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand." YEAH! Kanye West eat your heart out!

Despite the potential for conflict of creative egos, Ungaro ceo Mounir Moufarrige - who famously replaced The Kaiser with a 25-year-old Stella McCartney at the helm of Chloe- is positive about the expected impact of the new appointments, who are expected to take a bow together following the upcoming show at Paris Fashion Week in October.

Who Cares?!

I still don't really know what to think of Stella. I must say she didn't make that of a good impression, when she was here the other day to launch her new cosmetics line, Care. But then not everybody can be on the same wavelength... Anyway, Stella McCartney has signed a long term agreement with the Lane Crawford Joyce Group for exclusive distribution rights to the Stella McCartney brand in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia....but then, do we really Care?

Stella for skin care

There's a new frontier in the wild world of fashion and a few big name designers have already started to stake their claims. Stella McCartney has joined a select but growing group of fashion designers, including Giorgio Armani and Tom Ford, who are getting under the skin of the beauty business.
McCartney, 35, says personal integrity was a key ingredient in her commitment to creating organic skin care products. "I just don't think that there is a great deal of luxury, organic products out there and I've found that quite frustrating," she said in an e-mail interview. "I don't see why the luxury element in a skin care line needs to be compromised in order for the organic element to be fully present."
McCartney worked with YSL Beauté to create her product line, Care. It will go on sale in June at McCartney's own boutiques. The products are already available in Continental Europe.
